FREEP.COM: Delmas Causes Scuffle at Detroit Lions Practice

Former Western Michigan Broncos safety Louis Delmas appears to be doing what he does best for the Detroit Lions. Delmas caused a scuffle at practice today after hitting Aveion Cason after Cason says he let up.

Anyone who covered Delmas at WMU knows that he isn't going to let up no matter what. A section of the article is below, for the full article CLICK HERE.

Quick hits from the last day of Lions training camp:

"Rookie safety Louis Delmas delivered another big hit in practice today, smacking running back Aveion Cason near the goal line. Cason said he was pulling up, didn’t see Delmas coming and was not pleased.

Cason went after Delmas. Right tackle Gosder Cherilus and center Dominic Raiola were right behind. A scuffle ensued in the end zone.

Delmas was hot afterward, but coach Jim Schwartz approached him immediately. Schwartz said he didn’t see the hit because he had a bad angle. He said he just told Delmas to let the play go and not let it linger into the next play.

Cason said he and Delmas shook hands in the locker room afterward and everything was fine."
